What is a
Trek?
Whilst
walking in the valleys and high regions
of the Himalayas, our groups come into
contact with local people living in
remote villages and also various tribes
of Nomadic herdsmen. These people are
friendly and hospitable and follow a way
of life unchanged for centuries.
By day we
walk, carrying only a light day pack,
for cameras and lunch box. Guided by
professional guides along well defined
mountain trails. By night we camp,
sleeping in modern two man tents and top
quality down sleeping bags, all
supplied. The cooking and camp chores
are done by the accompanying staff and
porters and ponies carry all equipments-
leaving the walking group free to enjoy
the peace and beauty of the mountains
and valleys.
Trek
itineraries are carefully planned to
average daily physical demands over the
whole trek. Our trekking staffs are
experienced from their many years of
guiding—and will take sensible care of
all group members. Those trekkers who
are in good physical shape and who have
a love for camping and hard walking will
without doubt have one of the most
enjoyable experience of their lives.
Group
members have the common bond of their
love for walking and vary widely in Age,
Profession and nationality. Group size
is kept to a maximum of 15 people and
minimum of 2 people.
Trekking Permits
Restricted
Area Permits are required by those
trekking in Sikkim or Nagaland. India Nepal Travel.com Pty Ltd. will
organize this for you in advance if you
provide a copy of your passport, your
tourist visa and two passport-sized
photographs, and the cost is included in
the price of the trekking holiday. No
trekking permits are required for
Kashmir or other Himalayan areas within
India in which India Nepal Travel.com operates tours. |
